Position: Solid Works Design Engineer Location: Rohisa, Tal. : Mahemdavad , Dist: Kheda.Gujarat(INDIA) Work Timing: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM ( Monday to Saturday) Salary: 35,000 to 45,000/Month Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented SolidWorks Design Engineer with 3 5 years of experience to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between design and production, translating client requirements into manufacturable 3D models and 2D drawings. You will be responsible for creating, modifying, and analyzing designs, with a heavy emphasis on CNC/VMC machining, fixture design, and optimizing production processes for machined products. Key Responsibilities 3D Modeling & Detailing: Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and 2D production drawings using SolidWorks for machined components. CNC/VMC Support: Develop stage drawings, work-holding solutions, and fixture designs to enhance VMC/CNC machining efficiency. DFM Optimization: Review designs for manufacturability (DFM) and cost-effectiveness to minimize cycle times and material waste on the shop floor. GD&T Application: Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) to drawings ensuring high-precision accuracy. Documentation: Generate Bill of Materials (BOM), revision control, and manufacturing process sheets. Collaboration: Work closely with the shop floor operators, planning team, and quality assurance to troubleshoot design-related issues and implement changes. Engineering Changes: Manage, document, and implement engineering change orders (ECO) based on production feedback. Required Skills & Qualifications Education: Diploma or Bachelor s degree in Mechanical/Production Engineering. Experience: 3 5 years of hands-on experience in a precision machine shop or manufacturing company. Software Proficiency: Expert knowledge of SolidWorks is mandatory. Experience with CAM software (Mastercam/Fusion 360) is a strong advantage. Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of machining processes (Turning, Milling), materials, and tool selection. Drafting Standards: Proficient in creating engineering drawings as per ISO/ASME standards. Troubleshooting: Ability to quickly resolve issues on the CNC shop floor and improve part quality. Preferred Attributes Experience in designing jigs and fixtures for VMC/HMC. Knowledge of CAM programming and CNC application. Excellent communication and team coordination skills.
