Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Analyst

As a Senior Cloud Analyst at Syntax, you will be part of a leading cloud managed services provider for mission-critical enterprise applications, offering comprehensive technology solutions since 1972. Syntax specializes in implementing and managing SAP and Oracle ERP deployments in a secure, resilient multi-cloud environment. Role Overview: - You will work as a Senior Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Analyst at Syntax, supporting mission-critical workloads and onboarding new customers to OCI. - Your responsibilities will include provisioning and managing resources in OCI, collaborating with internal teams and customers, and ensuring the successful automation of deployments. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the onboarding process to deliver proposed solutions and meet customer expectations. - Collaborate with Project Managers and customers to understand requirements and provide input for successful automation of deployments. - Adhere to technical standards and best practices for Syntaxs OCI IaaS solutions. - Draft architecture design diagrams, document runbooks, and create standard operating procedures. - Work closely with Syntax teams to integrate solutions with OCI, including identity and access management and vulnerability management. - Use the ticketing system to track and address client needs, providing ongoing support for clients. - Act as Level II escalation for Priority 1 issues related to OCI, participating in root cause analysis and corrective action processes. - Act as a technical point of contact to onboard and manage customer workloads in OCI. - Complete necessary OCI trainings, earn certifications, and contribute to blog posts. Qualifications Required: - Strong background in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure with at least 8 years of relevant experience, preferably OCI certified. - Experience in technical architecture, network management, application development, middleware, database management, or operations. - Expert knowledge of OCI Native services and SaaS-based Database offerings. - Familiarity with Microsoft AD, Domain Controllers, relay servers, and operating systems. - Experience in deploying multi-tier applications on OCI IaaS and PaaS services. - Knowledge of cloud security controls and OCI networking. - Proficiency in scripting with Python and Terraform. - Ability to provide on-call support during off-business hours and weekends. - Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication and collaboration with clients and partners.
