Job Title: Electrical Engineer (Manufacturing/Capital Projects)
Location: Cressona, Pennsylvania (Fully Onsite)
Salary: USD $100,000 – $125,000 / Year
Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to lead the safe, timely, and cost-effective execution of capital projects (ranging from $1M to $40M) in a heavy manufacturing environment. This role focuses on electrical power and controls engineering, from design and specification through to installation, startup, and troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities: * Lead the development and execution of capital projects ($1M–$40M), ensuring they are on-time and on-budget.
Perform electrical engineering and design from concept through hand-off.
Manage contractors and collaborate with cross-functional plant teams.
Handle engineering tasks: design calculations, equipment selection, proposal reviews, and drawing management.
Troubleshoot industrial automation systems and oversee equipment startups.
Work hands-on on the shop floor, including climbing ladders and accessing high-reach areas as needed.
Required Qualifications: * Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Experience: 5–7 years in a manufacturing environment (Heavy industrial/Extrusion/Casting preferred).
Capital Projects: Proven success in leading large-scale capital project lifecycles.
Technical: Expertise in 480VAC systems and mill-grade industrial equipment.
Automation: Hands-on experience with PLC, HMI, and SCADA (Rockwell preferred) , MCCs, and VFDs.
Safety: Knowledge of NFPA 70E and NEC standards.
