Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Engineer to design, implement, and maintain cloud-based solutions on Google Cloud Platform.

The ideal candidate will have experience with cloud infrastructure, automation, security, networking, and DevOps practices to support scalable and reliable enterprise applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Build and maintain highly available, scalable, and secure cloud environments.

• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Deployment Manager.

• Manage GCP services including Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, BigQuery, and Cloud Functions.

• Configure and maintain networking components such as VPCs, Load Balancers, Cloud DNS, VPNs, and Firewalls.

• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab, Cloud Build, or similar tools.

• Monitor cloud resources using Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, and alerting solutions.

• Implement security best practices, IAM policies, service accounts, encryption, and compliance standards.

• Troubleshoot infrastructure, application, and performance-related issues.

• Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to optimize cloud solutions.

• Perform cloud migrations from on-premises or other cloud platforms to GCP.

• Ensure backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies are in place.

• Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

• 5+ years of experience working with Google Cloud Platform.

• Strong knowledge of GCP services and cloud architecture.

• Experience with Kubernetes (GKE), Docker, and containerization technologies.

• Hands-on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.

• Proficiency in Linux administration and scripting (Python, Bash, or PowerShell).

• Experience with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices.

• Strong understanding of networking, security, and cloud governance.

• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect Certification.

• Google Cloud Professional DevOps Engineer Certification.

• Experience with Anthos and hybrid cloud environments.

• Knowledge of multi-cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.

• Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and Datadog.

• Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
