About the role
Required Skills
Bachelor's degree in computer science or information systems and 8+ years of technical architecture experience and relevant hands-on engineering.
10 years infrastructure, systems engineering, DevOps, or architecture
8+ years technical architecture
5-7 years AWS (IAM, Organizations, Networking Architectures, Cost Mgmt controls, etc.)
3-5 years Azure (RBAC, Azure AD, Networking Architectures, Cost Mgmt controls, etc.)
3-7 years enterprise cloud architecture or governance
3-5 years Terraform and infrastructure as a code
3-5 years cloud migrations and platform operations
3+ years technical leadership and knowledge transfer
Public Cloud infrastructure expertise
Preferred Skills
AWS and\or Azure certifications
Expertise in Terraform infrastructure as code, understanding of scaling technologies and solutions, experience with AWS or other clouds, familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, or other container platforms, security, penetration testing and threat detection tools, and experience wServiceNow, Datadog, Dome9, and/or Aviatrix.
Background in DevOps, Software Development, Site Reliability, or Systems Engineering.
Experience with configuration management and continuous deployment.
Project Overview:
The Department of Technology Operations needs assistance with supporting deployment and management of the Information Technology Shared Services Cloud initiatives and projects.
This position will be used to further develop the Cloud Strategy, work with multiple departments for adoption and support the managed cloud broker.
Scope of the project:
Assist with day to day operations and migrations to AWS\Azure Cloud infrastructure as the organization transitions to a managed cloud broker.
Daily Duties / Responsibilities:
• Perform system administration, automation, and development tasks for the Cloud Management Platform (CMP).
• Work with and customer personnel to facilitate migrations to the cloud infrastructure.
• Maintain continuity of shared services offered across AWS and Azure.
