AS/400 Administrator

Location: Pune Employment Type: full-time Job Details Key Responsibilities Perform IBM iSeries administration, including system installation, downloading IBM Program Temporary Fixes (PTFs), software installation, configuration, and security administration. Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes. Recommend, schedule, and implement system hardware and/or software upgrades or repairs. Perform problem isolation, definition, resolution, and follow-up for system software, hardware, application, and user-reported issues. Review system and application logs and verify completion of scheduled jobs, including backups. Install, upgrade, configure, test, and maintain third-party software applications. Control user access, manage passwords, and maintain a secure systems environment. Administer and maintain the Automic environment. Prepare SOX compliance documentation for the AS400 platform and provide support during internal audits. Participate in on-call support for emergency Change Requests (CRs) and Priority 1 (P1) issues. Liaise with cross-functional teams for ongoing production support issues and project initiatives.
