Mechanical Design Engineer

Role & responsibilities Lead and execute Mechanical HVAC design projects from concept through completion. Independently manage medium to large-scale Mechanical design packages. Prepare project schedules, effort estimations, and design planning documents. Perform HVAC design calculations including: Heating Load Calculations Cooling Load Calculations Pressure Drop Calculations Static Pressure Calculations Design HVAC systems including: Air Conditioning Systems Chilled Water Systems DX Systems Mechanical Ventilation Systems Air Distribution Systems Perform equipment selection and prepare equipment schedules. Design ductwork systems including duct sizing, routing, layouts, and coordination drawings. Design mechanical piping systems including pipe sizing, routing, riser diagrams, sections, and isometric drawings. Prepare HVAC layouts, schematics, riser diagrams, detailed drawings, and construction documentation. Prepare Design Basis Reports, calculation reports, technical specifications, BOQ, and cost estimates. Perform BIM coordination, model reviews, clash detection, and MEP coordination activities. Review project submissions and ensure quality standards are maintained. Conduct technical verification and QA/QC checks during design stages. Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, vendors, and BIM teams. Support team supervision and knowledge sharing. Ensure timely delivery of projects while maintaining quality and compliance.
