Sr. Design Engineer (Automotive - Trims/Dashboards - Catia)

POSITION NAME: Senior Design Engineer (Automotive Dashboards/Trims - Catia V5) JOB LOCATION: Kudlu Gate, Bangalore, KA,IND (WFO) EDUCATION REQUIRED: BE/B. Tech degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Aeronautical Engineering YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: 8+ Years EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION (DOMAIN KNOWLEDGE ETC) 8+ years’ experience in Design and development of automotive dashboard/interior plastic components for premium vehicles. Develop 3D models, master sections, B-side features, mounting strategies, and engineering drawings. Create 3D models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings using CATIA V5 Coordinate with styling, CAE, tooling, suppliers, and manufacturing teams for product development. Conduct tolerance stack-up, gap & flush analysis, DFMEA, tooling feasibility analysis. and design validation activities. Good in reading & interpreting complex Manufacturing / Assembly drawings. SKILL / TOOLS KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED: Catia V5 MUST REQUIRED SKILLS: Strong experience in Automotive Interior Trim / Dashboard (IP) Design. Expertise in Plastic Part Development Knowledge of Design-to-Manufacturing and Manufacturability Concepts. Hands-on experience in DFM, DFA, DFMEA, GD&T, Tolerance Stack-Up Analysis. Strong understanding of Injection Molding, Tooling Feasibility, and Plastic Manufacturing Processes. Knowledge of Automotive Standards and Product Development Processes. Experience working with global OEMs or Tier-1 suppliers.
