Principal Architect

Role Overview We are looking for an experienced Principal Architect to define and drive the architectural vision and technical strategy for large-scale, cloud-native platforms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing highly scalable, resilient, and secure systems while collaborating closely with engineering, product, data, and business teams. Key Responsibilities Define and enforce architectural standards, principles, and best practices across platforms and services. Design scalable, distributed, event-driven, and microservices-based systems. Drive technical strategy, architecture reviews, and engineering excellence. Ensure high availability, performance, fault tolerance, and security of mission-critical applications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technology initiatives with business goals. Mentor engineering teams and provide technical leadership across the organization. Evaluate and introduce new technologies, frameworks, and tools. Establish API design standards, governance, and security practices. Lead architecture and design decisions for complex products and platforms. Required Skills & Experience BE/MS in Computer Science or a related field. 12–15 years of software engineering experience with significant time in architect-level roles. Strong expertise in at least two backend technologies such as Java, Node.js, Python, or Go. Deep understanding of frameworks such as Spring Boot, Express.js, Django, or equivalent. Extensive experience with distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and microservices. Strong knowledge of data modeling, database design, and performance optimization. Expertise in API design, scalability, reliability, and security best practices. Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure. Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code and modern DevOps practices. Preferred Skills Experience with Generative AI technologies and LLM ecosystems. Knowledge of OpenAI, Anthropic, LangChain, LlamaIndex, vector databases, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG). Understanding of prompt engineering, model evaluation, fine-tuning, and scalable AI deployments. Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and mentoring abilities.
