Position: Fixture Design Engineer Department: Manufacturing Engineering / NPD Location: 3rd Phase, Peenya Industrial Area, Bengaluru Industry : Aerospace and defense manufacturing Working days & Timings : Monday to Saturday, 9 AM to 6 PM Job Summary: The Fixture Design Engineer is responsible for designing and developing fixtures and tooling solutions that support efficient CNC machining operations . The role ensures optimal work holding, accuracy, and productivity in manufacturing processes. Key Responsibilities Design machining fixtures, jigs, and tooling solutions for CNC operations. Analyse machining requirements and develop work holding strategies . Prepare fixture drawings and technical documentation. Coordinate with CNC programmers and production teams during implementation. Support process improvements and cycle time reduction initiatives. Ensure fixtures comply with quality, safety, and production requirements. Provide technical support during new product development and first article production. Tailoring fixture designs to accommodate the unique shapes, sizes, and characteristics of aerospace components, which may include complex contours, thin walls, delicate features, and stringent tolerances and ensuring Poke Yoke implementation. Documenting fixture designs , maintaining revisions , and assembly instructions for manufacturing, maintenance, and quality assurance purposes. Qualifications Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with min. 4+ years of experience. Experience in fixture, jigs design for CNC machining. Knowledge of GD&T and machining processes. Design software knowledge / Proficiency – Solidworks/Catia .
