Product Development Engineer

DO NOT APPLY IF YOU ARE NOT READY FOR RELOCATION TO MAHAD* (Mahad, Raigad, Maharashtra) Primary Accountability Lead end-to-end new product development activities for polymer parts from mold design and costing through to molding trials, rejection analysis, and production handover ensuring timely, quality-compliant execution of development projects while resolving QC issues in coordination with production. Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs) Design and develop molds for polymer parts, including piping design and sheet metal components Prepare basic costing details for new enquiries within the defined timeframe Conduct molding trials, perform rejection analysis, and implement corrective solutions Work with production to resolve quality-control issues on the shop floor Prepare and maintain ISO/QMS documents related to sample development and post-production handover Ensure accurate SAP-ERP entries and maintain MDC records Prepare tooling drawings and 3D models as applicable Provide reports on development activities Support product design, qualification, and specification preparation Track and report on quality performance of samples and development activities Ensure compliance with EOHS standards during development and trial activities Skills Required Functional Mechanical/polymer engineering fundamentals, including piping design and sheet metal Mold design and polymer product/process development Working knowledge of SAP-ERP, QMS, and EOHS systems Tooling/mold drawing and basic 3D modelling Behavioral Strong project management and problem-solving skills Effective interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work in a team-based organization Strong ownership mindset and attention to detail Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
