About the role
Job Description: Install, configure, and maintain SQL/MySQL databases. Monitor database health, including storage, indexing, fragmentation, and performance. Perform regular backups, restores, and disaster recovery (DR) planning. Analyse and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and indexing to improve performance. Investigate and resolve deadlocks, blocking, and connection issues. Troubleshoot and Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for database performance issues. Monitor CPU, memory, disk I/O, and query execution plans to identify bottlenecks. Engage with users, identify their challenges, and deliver effective solutions. Configure SQL Server Profiler, Extended Events, and Performance Monitor for troubleshooting. Develop PowerShell/Python scripts or SQL Server Agent Jobs for automating routine tasks. .
