Role Overview: The Business Analyst (Clinical - U.S Healthcare) plays a crucial role in connecting healthcare operations with technology solutions, specifically focusing on Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems. Your responsibilities include analyzing, documenting, and managing business processes related to EMR systems, ensuring effective implementation and optimization through collaboration with stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: - Elicit and document business requirements from key stakeholders to understand their needs regarding EMR functionalities. - Analyze and translate business requirements into technical specifications for EMR system enhancements and implementations. - Conduct thorough analysis of existing business processes related to EMR usage, identifying areas for improvement. - Recommend and implement process enhancements to optimize EMR system use and enhance overall efficiency. - Collaborate with IT teams to ensure successful implementation and integration of EMR systems. - Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to configure, customize, and deploy EMR solutions per business requirements. - Work closely with data analysts to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of EMR data. - Develop and maintain data mapping and data transformation processes for EMR-related data. - Create training materials and conduct training sessions for end-users on EMR system functionalities. - Provide ongoing support, troubleshoot issues, and address user concerns related to EMR usage. - Develop and execute test plans to ensure quality and reliability of EMR system implementations. - Collaborate with testing teams to identify and resolve issues during the testing phase. Qualifications Required: - A bachelor's degree in healthcare management, health informatics, business administration, or a related field. Additional certifications in healthcare compliance or informatics are beneficial. - In-depth understanding of Meaningful Use requirements, CMS regulations, and other healthcare compliance initiatives, along with familiarity with EHR systems and health information exchange (HIE) standards. - Proficiency in data analysis, reporting, and interpretation, utilizing analytical software and tools effectively. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey complex regulatory concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders. - Proven ability to identify compliance-related challenges and develop effective solutions. - Demonstrated collaboration skills with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, maintaining a strong focus on accuracy and precision in compliance analysis and documentation. - Ability to adapt to changing regulatory requirements and healthcare industry trends.
