SDE (Forward Deployed, Microservices, Java)

Role Overview: As a Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and shipping production-grade backend services in a microservices environment. You will work directly with clients to understand their requirements, solution their use cases, and integrate/deploy the product in their environment. Your role will involve owning problems end-to-end, including building, deploying, debugging in the client's setup, and ensuring the solution reaches production. Additionally, you will lead technical discussions with client engineering and business teams, build integrations with third-party systems and APIs within customer environments, and collaborate with internal product and engineering teams to incorporate client learnings into the product. Key Responsibilities: - Design, build, and ship production-grade backend services in a microservices environment - Work directly with clients to understand requirements, solution their use cases, and integrate/deploy our product in their environment - Own problems end-to-end build, deploy, debug in the client's setup, and see it through to production - Lead technical discussions with client engineering and business teams, translating their needs into working solutions - Build integrations with third-party systems and APIs within customer environments - Collaborate cross-functionally with internal product and engineering teams to feed client learnings back into the product Qualifications Required: - Strong Backend Engineer with robust Micro-services experience - Must have 4+ years of hands-on experience in backend software engineering with 2+ years in a product company - Must have hands-on experience building and running applications in a Micro-services setup - designing services, REST APIs, and service-to-service communication - Must have strong production-grade experience in building and shipping real services in Java or Node.js (Java is highly preferred) - Product companies (B2B SaaS is preferred) - B.Tech / B.E. in Computer Science from Tier-1 institutes (IITs, BITS Pilani) - Must have worked directly with external customers in an engineering capacity - solutioning, integrating, or deploying the product in the customer's environment and handling technical discussions with their teams - Comfortable with both SQL and NoSQL databases Role Overview: As a Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and shipping production-grade backend services in a microservices environment.
