L1 Network Engineer Position Details - Client: IBM Indian Bank - Role: L1 Network Engineer / L1+ Network Administrator - Location: Navi Mumbai - Experience: 3+ Years - Qualification: Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field. - Certification: Active CCNA Certification (Mandatory) or equivalent networking certification. Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled L1 Network Engineer to join the IBM team supporting the Indian Bank environment in Navi Mumbai. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in network monitoring, troubleshooting, routing & switching, SD-WAN, and Cisco ACI. The candidate will be responsible for providing Level-1 network support, ensuring network availability, and escalating complex issues to higher support teams when required. Key Responsibilities - Monitor and maintain enterprise network infrastructure. - Provide Level-1 support for LAN, WAN, and SD-WAN environments. - Troubleshoot network connectivity issues related to routers, switches, and firewalls. - Perform first-level diagnosis and incident resolution. - Monitor network alerts using monitoring tools and respond within SLA timelines. - Escalate unresolved incidents to L2/L3 teams with proper documentation. - Support Cisco Routing & Switching infrastructure. - Assist in Cisco ACI fabric monitoring and basic troubleshooting. - Perform routine health checks and preventive maintenance. - Coordinate with internal teams and vendors during network outages or planned activities. - Maintain incident logs, change records, and operational documentation. - Ensure compliance with ITIL processes and organizational standards. Required Technical Skills: - Robust understanding of Routing & Switching - Hands-on experience with Cisco Routers and Switches - Knowledge of SD-WAN - Basic knowledge of Cisco ACI (Application Centric Infrastructure) - VLAN, STP, EtherChannel - TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT - OSPF, BGP, Static Routing - Network Monitoring Tools - Basic understanding of Firewall concepts - Incident Management & Ticketing Tools (ServiceNow, Remedy, etc.) - Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills Mandatory Requirements: - Minimum 3+ years of relevant Network Administration experience. - Active CCNA Certification (Mandatory) or equivalent. - Good communication and coordination skills. - Willingness to work in rotational shifts, if required. - Ability to work in a production support environment.
