Mysql Database Administrator

As an Installation and Configuration Specialist at our company, your responsibilities will include: - Installing and configuring MySQL instances on single or multiple ports - Working hands-on with MySQL 5.6 and MySQL 5.7 - Having a clear understanding of MySQL Replication process flows, threads, setting up multi-node clusters, and basic troubleshooting - Understanding at least one of the backup and recovery methods for MySQL - Having strong fundamentals of SQL and the ability to understand and tune complex SQL queries when needed - Having strong fundamentals on the Linux system side and monitoring tools like top, iostats, sar, etc. - Having at least a couple of years of production hands-on experience on medium to big sized MySQL databases - Setting up and maintaining users and privileges management system and troubleshooting relevant access issues - Having some exposure to external tools like Percona, ProxySQL, HAP, etc. - Understanding the transaction flows and ACID compliance - Having a basic understanding of networking concepts - Performing on-call support and being able to provide the first level of support - Possessing excellent verbal and written communication skills Your qualifications should include: - Hands-on experience with MySQL 5.6 and MySQL 5.7 - Strong understanding of MySQL Replication process flows, threads, multi-node clusters setup, and basic troubleshooting - Experience with at least one backup and recovery method for MySQL - Proficiency in SQL and the ability to tune complex queries - Familiarity with Linux system fundamentals and monitoring tools - Experience with medium to big sized MySQL databases in a production environment - Knowledge of users and privileges management in MySQL - Exposure to external tools like Percona, ProxySQL, HAP - Understanding of transaction flows and ACID compliance - Basic knowledge of networking concepts Please note that the above qualifications and responsibilities are key for excelling in this role.
