About the role
As a Network Engineer with 6+ years of experience and expertise in Cisco Meraki, your main responsibilities will include: - 4+ years of experience in network engineering and data analysis, with a strong exposure to Cisco Meraki environments. - Hands-on experience with Meraki Dashboard configuration (Switching, Wireless, Security & SD-WAN) and network monitoring and telemetry tools (SNMP, NetFlow, Syslog). - Strong understanding of TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, VLANs, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP basics), and network performance tuning and troubleshooting methodologies. - Experience with automation and scripting (Python preferred) for data extraction and reporting. - Exposure to REST APIs and Meraki APIs for automation and integration. - Ability to analyze large volumes of network data and derive actionable insights. - Familiarity with ITSM processes (Incident, Change, Problem Management). Your key responsibilities will include: - Managing and configuring Cisco Meraki network infrastructure (Switches, APs, MX Security Appliances). - Extracting, analyzing, and interpreting network data using Meraki APIs and monitoring tools. - Developing automation scripts for network health checks, configuration validation, and performance reporting. - Performing proactive monitoring and troubleshooting of network performance issues, connectivity, and latency concerns. - Implementing and optimizing SD-WAN, VPN, and security policies. - Collaborating with cross-functional teams (EUC, Security, Cloud teams) for integrated solutions. - Maintaining documentation for network architecture, configurations, and RCA reports. - Supporting governance reporting and KPI tracking (uptime, latency, packet loss, etc.). In addition to technical qualifications, you are required to have: - Domain expertise in IT Infrastructure, Enterprise Networking, or Managed Services. - Working experience on large-scale enterprise networks supporting secure, scalable operations across global locations. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Transparent communication for customer-facing interactions. - Stakeholder management and collaboration abilities. - Capability to work in high-pressure and SLA-driven environments. - Educational background in Bachelors/masters in computer science / IT / Electronics (Flexible based on experience). Certifications required: - Cisco Meraki Solutions Specialist (CMS). - CCNA / CCNP (Enterprise / Security). - Cisco DevNet (preferred for automation roles).
