About the role
- Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Linux & Windows Server Administrator to join IT team in client premises. The role will primarily focus on Linux system administration (70%) while also providing support for Windows server environments (30%). The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting critical server infrastructure across physical, virtualized, and cloud environments, ensuring security, performance, and high availability. - Must Have Skills (Mandatory) - Strong experience (57 years) in Linux system administration (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu/Debian). - Hands-on expertise in Windows Server Administration (2016/2019/2022). - Proficiency in scripting & automation (Bash, Python) and configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef). - Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, firewalls, VPNs). - Virtualization technologies: VMware, KVM, Hyper-V. - Cloud exposure: AWS, Azure. - System security best practices (SELinux/AppArmor, patching, vulnerability remediation). - Experience with storage technologies (LVM, NFS, Samba, SAN/NAS). - Monitoring & observability tools (Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace, Splunk). - Relevant certifications (RHCE, CompTIA Linux+, MCSA/MCSE). - Good-to-have Skills (Optional) - Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). - Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines. - Exposure to web server & app server management (Apache, Nginx). - Basic database administration (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB). - Backup & disaster recovery planning. - File & Print Services management (Windows). - Qualifications & Experience - Bachelors / Engineering Degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience. - 57 years of proven experience in server administration (Linux-heavy). - Solid troubleshooting, performance tuning, and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. - Ability to work independently under minimal supervision. - Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Linux & Windows Server Administrator to join IT team in client premises.
