• Job Title: Senior Data Engineer

• Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer with extensive experience in data engineering and architecture. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing robust data solutions that support our enterprise data architecture. You will work closely with cross functional teams to ensure data integrity, security, and accessibility while optimizing performance across our data platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable data architectures and data pipelines for real time and batch processing.

• Develop and maintain data models (conceptual, logical, physical) to support data warehousing and analytics.

• Optimize SQL queries and database performance to ensure efficient data retrieval and processing.

• Implement data integration solutions using API based data flows and ETL/ELT processes.

• Ensure compliance with data governance standards and security protocols, including data encryption and access control.

• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements and deliver high quality data solutions.

• Utilize cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) to manage data lakes and data warehouses, with a preference for Snowflake.

• Develop and maintain streaming data solutions using Kafka, Kinesis, and AWS messaging services.

• Participate in code reviews and promote best practices in software development, including Test Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior Driven Development (BDD).

• Stay updated with emerging technologies and trends in data engineering and architecture.

• Mandatory Skills:

• Proven experience in Data Engineering with a strong focus on Big Data Architecture and Data Warehousing.

• Expertise in SQL and database performance optimization.

• Hands on experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS and Azure.

• Strong programming skills in Python and experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases.

• Experience in designing and implementing real time and near real time data pipelines.

• Familiarity with data governance and compliance standards.

• Preferred Skills:

• Experience with OLTP and OLAP architecture.

• Knowledge of AI and Gen AI concepts.

• Experience with AWS Data Stack components such as Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, Aurora, and AWS RDS (PostgreSQL).

• Understanding of data platform architecture for scalable systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 7 10 years of relevant experience in data engineering or a similar role.

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
