We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer with a strong background in GCP Big Query to join our dynamic team at TechM Chennai TMCC. The ideal candidate will have 5 7 years of experience in data engineering, with a proven track record of designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and architectures. You will play a crucial role in transforming raw data into actionable insights, enabling data driven decision making across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL processes using GCP Big Query.

• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver high quality data solutions.

• Optimize and tune Big Query performance for efficient data processing and retrieval.

• Implement data governance and security best practices to ensure data integrity and compliance.

• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline issues, ensuring high availability and reliability.

• Document data architecture, processes, and workflows for knowledge sharing and compliance.

• Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in data engineering and GCP.

• Mandatory Skills:

• Strong expertise in GCP Big Query, including SQL proficiency and experience with data modeling.

• Hands on experience with data pipeline orchestration tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, Cloud Composer).

• Proficient in programming languages such as Python or Java for data manipulation and processing.

• Experience with data warehousing concepts and best practices.

• Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker) is a plus.

• Preferred Skills:

• Experience with other GCP services (e.g., Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Pub/Sub).

• Knowledge of machine learning concepts and frameworks.

• Understanding of data privacy regulations and compliance standards.

• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 5 7 years of experience in data engineering or a related role.
