Chief Engineer- Piping Material

Mission / Scope of Work: He/ She coordinates the activities for the preparation of material, dimension, & purchase specification of the items in compliance with the piping standards and job requirements; vendor qualification, evaluation and finalization. To coordinate the overall operation of the design activities of the Piping Classes Team and the high quality and timely completion of their work within the established man-hour budgets. To review with the Design and Drafting team and for all the needs and technical aspects which can affect the schedule of the job. To prepare and update the Progress Report related to Piping Classes activities. To share the activities among the assigned team and ensure that proper information are available at any stage of the work. To assist the assigned personnel on developing their activities and to solve with them possible problems. To ensure the consistency of the corporate piping material database. To review, coordinate and ensure the Piping Classes, technical & purchase specifications for the supply and inspection of piping items, vendor evaluation & finalisation in order to meet technical requirements w.r.t. standards and project contract documents. To keep an updated knowledge of the international codes, standardization and of the technical development of the market. To ensure the control and the acceptance of Supplier technical documentation. To assist in issuing of MRs and the development of the requested material supplies as per project requirements.
