Deputy Chief Engineer - UTILITY

PROCESS DESIGN ENGINEERING of UTILITY GENERATION SYSTEMS namely; Plant air, Instrument air, Nitrogen (Liquid / Gaseous), Raw water treatment, DMW, Drinking water, Cooling water, sea water, steam & condensate, Safety shower systems, Tempered water, Hot oil STORAGE SYSTEMS namely; Atmospheric, Blanketed, Pressurized, Cryogenic, Mounded, Underground EFFLUENT TREATMENT namely; Flare, Incinerator, Liquid effluent treatment, Domestic Sewage treatment During execution of one or more projects, duties of the Discipline Project Leader are: To prepare and discuss with Project Team (PD/PM and PEM) and Head of Department, execution strategy of project (including project schedule) and assure its application throughout entire project life For specific topics involving high level of expertise, he/she is assisted by Head of Department To cooperate and coordinate with Project Engineering Manager and other Discipline Leaders to create and maintain project procedures, guidelines and standards To interact with Client, Licensor and Vendors for all Technical topics impacting on project, both in time and costs To assure coordination of Discipline activities throughout all engineering centres in which job is distributed guaranteeing consistency of documents with contract, respect of the time schedule, implementation of contract requirements, compliance of assigned budget (both cost and man-hours) and quality of deliverables in coordination with Project Engineering Manager and cooperating with other Discipline Leaders To execute, by himself/herself or by coordinating with Utilities Engineers assigned to him/her, part of activities of his/her competence to be implemented in his/her engineering centre guaranteeing respect of time schedule, implementation of contract requirements and quality of deliverables under supervision of Discipline Project Leader To interact with other Discipline Engineers and with Vendors concerning part of project of his/her competence To provide assistance during inspection/construction and commissioning phases from home office and/or at site as per project needs As a member of the department, duties of Discipline Project Leader are: To provide feedback to Head of Department concerning problems arising from application of standard methods and work instruction to improve effectiveness and efficiency of the department To conduct technical training as per Discipline and Company needs and exchange experience with Discipline colleagues for new Design techniques To keep himself/herself up-to-date about technical specific improvement of Discipline and to capitalize experience of projects in coordination with Commissioning Managers and other Project Lead Engineers
