Environmental Health and Safety Director

Primary Responsibilities

Coordinates with management to maintain, administer, and enforce company-wide safety policies and procedures

Ensure company compliance with federal and state safety and environmental regulations

Provide technical safety and health support to production and office personnel

Maintain corporate safety and health programs, and assess and recommend areas of improvement

Serve as the primary contact with all federal and state environmental agencies

Coordinate and facilitate regulatory inspections

Track and renew permits and safety training schedules

Position Requirements

Ability to drive to and from several Southern California company locations

Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the workforce and management

Possess experience in safety practices by working in relevant field or industry

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks

Associates Degree preferred

Ability to earn safety certifications and industry-specific fundamentals

Strong computer skills (MS Office / Outlook)

Ability to work under pressure and make strong decisions

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Bilingual a plus, but not necessary
