Mechanical Design Engineer

Position Overview:

Adaptek Systems is seeking top notch mechanical design engineer to assist in the design &

development of custom automated systems. The ideal candidate for this role would

possess a strong mechanical design knowledge, attention to detail, understanding of

machining tolerances, strong communication and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities Include

• · Designing of automated mechanisms, fixturing and machines from quoted

• concepts and budgets.

• · Sourcing and integration of components such as actuators, robotics, feeders,

• sensors and material handling components.

• · Utilization of ERP procurement software to purchase all needed vendor parts.

• · Detailing & dimensioning of mechanical components to Adaptek design standards

• for internal machining and fabrication processes.

• · Ability to address design or function related questions from the machining or

• assembly departments.

• · Design budget management (design hours & mechanical material costs)

• · Execution of design within approved schedule.

• · Work closely with other project team members (electrical & controls engineers).

• Ideal Qualifications:

• · ME or MET bachelor’s degree in related field.

• · Experience in custom automation machine design.

• · Experience with AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor software.

• · Strong Microsoft Excel & Word skills.

• · Basic understanding of pneumatic & hydraulic systems & schematics.

• · Strong trouble shooting skills.

• · Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
