Senior Electrical Engineer

Full Job Description

JDB Engineering is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to support and lead the design of electrical systems for commercial, manufacturing, food processing, healthcare, hospitality, education, and corporate facilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design for new construction and renovations

• Design power distribution, lighting, grounding, emergency power & low voltage systems

• Support manufacturing and food process equipment coordination

• Prepare construction documents, calculations, and specifications

• Coordinate with mechanical, plumbing, process, architectural, and structural teams

• Interface directly with clients, contractors, and vendors

• Mentor junior engineers and support QA/QC

• Assist with construction administration and field coordination

Qualifications

• BSEE or Architectural Engineering degree with 10+ years’ progressive, technical experience in a consulting engineering firm

• Excellent communication skills and experience in preparation of electrical construction documents, client management, and project supervision

• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred

• Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA, and applicable energy codes

• Proficiency with Revit and electrical design tools

• Controls integration and PLC knowledge a plus

• Manufacturing or industrial facility experience a plus
