Oracle Database Administrator L2

Role & responsibilities Job Description: L2 Oracle Database Administrator - Administer and maintain Oracle database environments. - Strong hands-on experience with Oracle RAC (Real Application Clusters) administration and troubleshooting. - Monitor database performance, availability, and capacity utilization. - Perform database backup, recovery, and restoration activities using RMAN. - Troubleshoot database issues and perform performance tuning. - Execute database patching, upgrades, and maintenance activities. - Manage Oracle RAC environments, including cluster monitoring and issue resolution. - Administer Oracle ASM (Automatic Storage Management) and database storage management. - Manage database user accounts, privileges, and security controls. - Support database migration, upgrade, and routine maintenance tasks. - Participate in Disaster Recovery (DR) drills, failover, and failback activities. - Coordinate with application teams, infrastructure teams, and vendors for issue resolution. - Prepare and maintain database operational documentation and SOPs. - Participate in 24x7 support operations and incident management. Preferred candidate profile: 3 - 5 years of hands-on experience in Oracle Database Administration in a production environment. Strong experience with Oracle RAC, ASM, RMAN, database backup & recovery, and performance tuning. Hands-on experience in database patching, upgrades, migrations, and routine maintenance. Good knowledge of Oracle Database 12c/19c, SQL, PL/SQL, and Linux. Experience in Disaster Recovery (DR), high availability (HA), and incident management. Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to coordinate with application, infrastructure, and vendor teams. Good documentation, communication, and analytical skills. Willingness to work in a 24x7 production support environment.
