IT Engineer

Responsibilities Manage and maintain enterprise-level IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and cloud-based systems. Monitor system performance, conduct regular maintenance, and implement proactive measures to prevent downtime. Provide technical support to engineering teams, resolving hardware, software, and network issues promptly. Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripheral equipment. Ensure data security and compliance by implementing firewalls, encryption, access controls, and backup solutions. Collaborate with vendors and service providers for procurement, installation, and support of IT equipment and services. Document IT processes, configurations, and incident resolutions to maintain knowledge base and ensure continuity. Support the implementation of new software, tools, and systems aligned with engineering project needs. Participate in IT project planning, risk assessment, and post-implementation reviews. Stay updated on emerging technologies and recommend improvements to enhance system performance and security. Requirements Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a related field. 25 years of handson experience in IT support, systems administration, or network engineering. Proficiency in Windows/Linux operating systems, Active Directory, and remote desktop tools. Experience with network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), firewalls, and LAN/WAN infrastructure. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud. Strong troubleshooting and problemsolving skills with a methodical approach to resolving technical issues. Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, data backup strategies, and disaster recovery planning. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment. Willingness to work flexible hours when required to support critical system operations or project deadlines.
