Hiring for Functional QA Engineer/ Lead

Job Description : We are looking for an experienced QA Lead / Test Lead with a strong background in Manual Testing to lead end-to-end testing activities for enterprise applications. The ideal candidate should have proven experience in test planning, execution, defect management, team leadership, and release management. Exposure to test automation is good to have. Location - Navi mumbai [HIDDEN TEXT] Key Responsibilities Own end-to-end testing activities and provide quality sign-off for product releases.Define, implement, and continuously improve QA processes and testing standards.Create comprehensive test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and execute functional, integration, regression, system, and UAT testing.Coordinate with development, product, and business teams to ensure timely defect resolution.Lead and mentor QA team members, ensuring adherence to testing standards and best practices.Track testing progress, risks, and quality metrics throughout the project lifecycle.Maintain complete testing documentation, defect reports, and release reports.Validate new features, enhancements, and bug fixes across multiple releases.Participate in requirement analysis and provide testability feedback during design discussions.Drive continuous process improvements to enhance product quality and team productivity.Required Technical Skills Strong expertise in Manual Testing methodologies and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).Experience in Test Planning, Test Case Design, Test Execution, Defort Tracking, and Test Reporting.Hands-on experience with API Testing using tools like Postman or Swagger.Good knowledge of Database Testing (SQL) and ETL validation.Experience using defect/project management tools such as Redmine, Jira, or similar.Experience working with Version Control systems such as GitHub.Understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Experience leading and mentoring QA teams.Good to Have Exposure to Automation Testing using Selenium, Appium, Java, or Python.Basic understanding of test automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.Familiarity with security/vulnerability testing tools such as Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP, or Metasploit.Preferred Profile 5+ years of experience in Software Testing with strong expertise in Manual Testing.Prior experience leading QA teams and handling end-to-end release ownership.Product testing experience will be an added advantage.Candidates with automation exposure will be preferred.
