About the role
Job Title: Software Automation Test Engineer Employment Type: Contract Experience: 5+ Years Work Mode: Remote Contract Duration: Minimum 1-year project-based contract (extendable) Notice Period: Immediate Joiners Only About The Role We are looking for an experienced Software Automation Test Engineer to join our QA team on a contract basis for an upcoming long-term project. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in automation testing for web applications, APIs, and enterprise solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality software through robust automation practices. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks. Develop and execute automated test scripts for web and API applications. Perform functional, regression, smoke, sanity, and integration testing. Validate REST APIs using Postman and automation tools. Analyze test results, identify defects, and collaborate with development teams for resolution. Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and automation documentation. Track and manage defects using Azure DevOps or Jira. Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives. Continuously improve automation coverage and testing efficiency. Support CI/CD and quality assurance best practices. Required Technical Skills Selenium Playwright Cypress Tosca Postman REST API Testing Azure DevOps Jira Agile/Scrum Methodology Preferred Skills Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, or C# SQL Git CI/CD Pipelines Automation Framework Development Mobile Automation Testing (preferred) Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in Software Test Automation. Strong experience in developing and maintaining automation frameworks. Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
