About the role
The 5S & VM Champion will be responsible for designing the 5S Strategy, Procedure, Standard work, organization structure, training assets, evaluation process and techniques. As 5S & VM Champion driving transformation at both manufacturing and transactional workplace/processes to achieve Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory and Productivity improvements through organized 5S and VM principles applications. 1. Design 5S and Visual Management systems: Develop a structured, standardized, and scalable 5S & Visual Management framework that ensures workplace organization, transparency, and efficiency across all areas Define 5S Framework, Procedures, Standards Workplace Layout & Organization Design Visual Control System Development Standardization of Visual Elements Cleaning & Inspection System Design 5S & VM Organization Structure deployment Develop plant specific 5S & VM organization structure at all the levels. Conduct Quarterly SDAP review with 6S Executive Committee. Facilitate, Coach, Mentor and train the steering committee to drive change management. Conduct monthly Zone leaders/SMLT development prg. Deploy 5S and VM Standards 5S Deployment planning – Roadmap for both operations and non-operations. Zone preparation and initial assessments. Execute 5S activities/actions – Sort, set in order, shine, standardize, Sustain Implement Visual Management in line with manufacturing processes Cross functional coordination with Safety, Production, Quality and maintenance depts. Conduct Evaluation/drive and drive actions closures Showcase improvements and Recognitions Best Practice sharing and Texmo Group collaboration Identify and capture the best practices to share and horizontally deploy Act as Single point contact for all the 5S & VM TBS standards and systems Conduct training and mentoring for subsidiary champions Coordinating with external bench mark/National Competitions Set aggressive goals and actions to set 5S & VN bench mark Coordinate with external bench marking organizations like CII, IMEA etc to compete at national level Coordinate and drive 5S & VM excellence at National/International levels. Track and Report Progress for Sustenance: Track, report and progress 5S, and VM through structured and comprehensive audits Ensure that all metrics are up to date and accurately reflect the performance of each Zone. Identify the low performing zones and enable improvement tactical plans Document and Standardize: Document all improvements and changes made during the 5S & VM deployment. Implement measure Education: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, Mechanical Engineering. Experience Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in 5S and VM design and implementation. Strong Expertise in practical implantation of Set-in order, Shine and Visual controls. Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficient in data collection, analysis, and reporting. Familiarity with Lean tools and techniques (e.g., Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping). Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently. Preferred Qualifications Certification in Lean/TPM system or related methodologies.
