About the role
Role Overview: As the Head of IT Security, you will be responsible for defining and executing the IT strategy while overseeing end-to-end IT operations across the region. Your role will involve combining strategic leadership with hands-on expertise in Microsoft technologies to ensure secure, compliant, and high-performing systems that deliver measurable business value. Key Responsibilities: - Define and execute IT strategy aligned with business objectives, leading IT projects and initiatives to design and deploy new systems and services, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver effective technology solutions. - Establish governance frameworks to support compliance, risk management, and audit readiness, and develop and maintain IT policies and procedures aligned with organizational direction. - Oversee Microsoft 365 services including Teams, SharePoint, Exchange, OneDrive, and Intune to enable secure collaboration, manage Azure cloud services, lead identity and access management across Active Directory and Azure AD, and implement security solutions such as Microsoft Defender and Azure Security Center. - Develop and enforce IT security policies aligned with ISO 27001, lead IT risk management, conduct internal reviews for ongoing compliance, and maintain audit-ready documentation and reports. - Manage IT budgets, oversee procurement of hardware, software, and services, ensure compliance with vendor agreements, and maintain accurate inventories of assets and licenses. - Manage enterprise infrastructure including servers, networks, routers, switches, and firewalls, ensure high availability, scalability, and cost optimization, and drive continuous improvement in infrastructure performance and resilience. - Develop and own disaster recovery and business continuity policies, define RTO and RPO targets, implement backup and recovery solutions, conduct regular drills, and address identified gaps. - Establish and enforce incident response playbooks, lead incident containment, investigation, and recovery efforts, communicate effectively during incidents, and conduct root cause analysis. - Implement ITIL-based service management processes, lead helpdesk operations, provide direct support for escalations, organize user awareness sessions, and track service performance metrics. - Implement and monitor data protection controls, conduct privacy impact assessments, lead response protocols for data breaches, and promote a culture of privacy awareness. - Identify opportunities for process automation, collaborate to optimize IT and business processes, and drive continuous improvement. - Build and lead a high-performing IT team, define team structures and roles, mentor and develop team members, and foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and service excellence. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience. - 15+ years of IT experience, including at least 7 years in leadership roles. - Strong expertise in Microsoft technologies, network infrastructure components, ISO 27001, and information security standards. - Certifications such as ITIL, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer, CISSP, CISM, or CISA are advantageous.
