Junior Data Scientist - R/Python

Description : Data Scientist Experience : 3 to 5 Years Open Positions : 3 Location : Mohali - On site Immediate joiner Job Summary We are looking for a passionate and highly motivated Data Scientist to join our Product Development Team. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical abilities, hands-on experience in Machine Learning and NLP, and the capability to work with large and complex datasets. The candidate will be responsible for developing predictive models, extracting insights from structured and unstructured data, and contributing to innovative product-based solutions. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and optimize Machine Learning models and algorithms Perform data mining and data analysis using advanced analytical techniques Work on Natural Language Processing (NLP) for extracting insights from unstructured text data Process, clean, validate, and verify the integrity of large datasets Build predictive analytics models and anomaly detection systems Develop automated monitoring systems to track model performance and accuracy Perform statistical analysis and generate meaningful business insights Work with SQL and NoSQL databases for data extraction and management Collaborate with engineering, product, and business teams for solution implementation Prepare technical documentation, architecture documentation, and reports Work on multiple projects simultaneously while meeting timelines and quality standards Stay updated with the latest advancements in Data Science, AI, and Machine Learning technologies Required Skills Strong understanding of Machine Learning algorithms such as : SVM Naive Bayes Decision Trees Random Forest k-NN Regression Models Hands-on experience with Python or R programming Experience with data science libraries and tools such as NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib, Scikit-learn, Weka, etc. Good knowledge of NLP concepts and text analytics Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases like MongoDB, Cassandra, or HBase Strong statistical and analytical skills including regression analysis, distributions, hypothesis testing, etc. Knowledge of data visualization tools such as D3.js or GGplot Strong problem-solving and debugging abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment Qualification Bachelors or Masters degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, AI, or related field (ref:hirist.tech)
