Automation Engineer

Title: Network Automation Engineer – App Hosting Locations: Summit, New Jersey – Onsite 3x a week Mandatory 18-24 Month Contract to Hire! Project Description: Positions are required to quickly address or migrate B2B connections from legacy data centers in order to meet Data Center Exit timelines. These positions on the Business to Business Hosting team are needed to support the data analysis, planning, 3rd Party contact communication and co-ordination activities for the migration of connections to the SNI locations from the legacy data centers. Staff augmentation to support buildout of Secure Network Services (SNS) Critical Infrastructure in the new North America Data Centers. Specific Job Description: • Lead the review, resolution and implementation for the most complex technical issues and initiatives related to large scale network applications, data systems, voice and other technical products and services • Use and create diagnostic, simulation and other tools to maintain, troubleshoot and restore service or data to systems • Utilizing Ansible orchestration and Python scripting to simplify high volume and/or high-risk tasks for business partners • Knowledge and experience working with JSON • Knowledge and experience working with RESTful API • Evaluate or review queries to extract data, create standard procedures, or perform limited programming to fine tune systems supported Requirements: • 5+ years of Network Engineering experience • • 5+ years of advanced scripting experience using Unix Shell Scripting, Ansible, Perl, Python, YAML, Java, or PL-SQL • • 5+ years of experience developing and using RESTful Application Program Interface (API) • • 5+ years of experience with Linux OS environment • • 2-5+ years of experience with source coding in one or a combination of the following: GitHub, SVN(Subversion), TFVC (Team Foundation Version Control) or TFSGit (Team Foundation Server • • Experience with creating and or updating technical design documentation used by engineering teams
