Firewall Engineer

Job Title: Firewall Engineer Location: Plano, TX, Hybrid Duration:6+ months ongoing role

Description Responsibilities> • Design, implement, and manage firewall solutions to ensure the security of our network infrastructure. • Perform advanced configuration and maintenance of firewalls. • Develop and update firewall policies to protect against internal and external threats. • Monitor network traffic and logs to identify and mitigate security risks. • Collaborate with IT teams to integrate firewalls with existing systems and architectures. • Provide technical leadership and guidance on network security best practices. • Conduct regular system audits to ensure compliance with security standards.

• In-depth knowledge of firewall technologies. • Proven experience in firewall policy configuration and management. • Strong understanding of network protocols, routing, and switching. • Ability to troubleshoot complex network security issues. • Excellent communication and documentation skills.

• Exposure to automation tools. • Experience with scripting and automation to streamline firewall management tasks. • Familiarity with cloud security principles and technologies.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. • Relevant certifications in network security. • A minimum of 10 years of experience in a network security role.
