IBM I application engineer

IBM i Application Security Engineer 6 months Remote Security Team works cross functionally with other teams to address security concerns and make changes. Responsible for securing applications and operating systems in IBM i shops. Security project including multiple teams for testing and patching Top Skills: Application Security: Testing & Remediation IBMi, iSeries, AS/400 IBM OS, DB2 Disaster Recovery BRMS, PTF, MIMIX (third party tools) Background: 10+ years in design/development experience IBM i Power Systems platform with a focus on security of system, database as well as internal and external applications PowerTech experience preferred Extensive disaster recovery test/configuration experience Minimum OS level experience IBM I 7.3 IBM I Security and certified security engineer. Department Description (work environment): This position will serve as an engineer in IBM i infrastructure, database, operating systems, IBM SAN based technologies and apply knowledge to the enterprise. This role will collaborate with architects, developers, and engineers to develop overall solutions, including options analysis and trade-offs that properly balance both IT and business constraints. The Systems Engineer will serve as a thought leader to guide people, processes, and technology.
