About the role
Position: SAN Storage Engineer Location: Remote Duration: Long term contract (at least a year) Must haves à Hitachi Storage software and hardware, Cisco SAN Software, Automation experience (Ansible preferred), EMC and scripting Description: The Senior SAN Engineer responsibilities will include: Understand customer requirements Deploy and Maintain the Storage Architecture for customer Implement the Detailed Storage Design for customer Implement Detailed Storage Design for customer Provision LUNs Ensure storage capacities at the proper tier are made available to customer on time Key Qualifications: • Advanced knowledge of EMC high-end and medium range storage technologies • Proficient in SAN switches, Brocade (zoning and unzoning) • Advanced knowledge of EMC Avamar, Data Domain Supporting Hitachi and EMC storage products- hardware G5500, 900s 800s Software: storage navigator, command suite EMC DNX. RPA, Cisco switch for SANs Storage Replication: DCNM: for SAN Request management system moving from kinetic to Servicenow Assigning LUNS to servers Providing Storage for new server builds and adding storage to existing.
