TECHNICAL WRITER

ROLE:Technical Writer/Communication Specialist

Location- 100% Remote DURATION:12+ MONTHS

Job Description: This position is open to someone sitting fully remote, but onsite hybrid would be preferred because the goal would be to convert this person. This person would need their own device to connect via citrix for when they work remotely.

Technical Writer (Cyber Security)

• This person will be conducting the research, analytical thinking, presentations, and writing analysis around Cyber Security. This person could have various previous backgrounds which include, technical writer, Program Assistant, Cyber Security Engineer, etc. Most important is that they know Cyber Security enough to write about it. The most important aspect to this role is the Writing, Research, Analytical Thinking, and Presentation around Cyber Security since they will be tasked on analysis/writing about different cyber security aspects and how they could impact TRP. For example, Tik Tok.

Writing Samples are Required. They do not have to be about Cyber Security. The Writing Samples are essentially part of the interview. Interview Process: Phone > Assessment Online > Panel Interview with Team

Temp to Perm Opportunity

The Communications Specialist II for Cyber Security Awareness will: use data collected from the cyber defense team to analyze events for the purposes of educating Associates and reducing risk; Develop cyber security awareness training (webinars and workshops); Evaluate security controls and business processes against the current threat landscape and provide recommendations for enhancement ; Cultivate partnerships with business units in an effort to advance cyber security standard methodologies.

Role summary and job responsibilities

• Communicate complex information, concepts, or ideas in a confident and well-organized manner through verbal, written, and/or visual means. • Prepare and deliver education and awareness briefings to ensure that systems, network, and data users are aware of and adhere to systems security policies and procedures. • Initiate, facilitate, and promote activities to foster security awareness within the firm • Work with the Incident Response and Threat Intelligence teams to identify, discuss and champion emerging cyber security trends • Contribute to the development of and improvement in cyber security standard methodologies within your group • Support the Global Security Operations Team with ad hoc projects as requested • Ability to break down complex or vague problems and step through them in a rational way • Flexible in his or her thinking; able to evolve a solution when additional information or ideas are presented • Decisions and recommendations distinguish between near term mitigation and required future investments • Identifies when junior resources need help and provides mentoring in a positive way that promotes confidence • You will help team members/make suggestions to improve practices • Articulate cyber security risk and translate into practical solutions to technology teams • Other duties as assigned

Business knowledge • Knowledge of media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods, including alternative ways to inform via written, oral, and visual media • You will promote technology policy and controls awareness • Able to work directly with business partners • Applies understanding of technology policies, standards, and controls
