About the role
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Network Operations Center (NOC) Technician to join our growing team. The NOC Technician will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and supporting network systems, servers, and infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and uptime. This role involves proactive network monitoring, incident response, troubleshooting, and escalation of network-related issues to maintain 24x7 operational stability. Key Responsibilities: - Monitor network performance, servers, routers, switches, firewalls, and other critical systems using NOC tools and dashboards. - Respond to alerts and incidents promptly to minimize downtime and service impact. - Troubleshoot network, connectivity, and hardware/software issues in coordination with internal teams and vendors. - Document incidents, changes, and resolutions accurately in the ticketing system (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira, Remedy, etc.). - Escalate complex or critical issues to senior engineers or vendors following escalation procedures. - Perform routine maintenance tasks such as firmware updates, patch management, and backup checks. - Support network provisioning and implementation of recent hardware or services. - Analyze recurring issues to identify root causes and suggest long-term corrective actions. - Collaborate with network engineers, system administrators, and security teams to ensure seamless operations. Preferred Qualifications: - Industry certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CCNA, CCNP, or JNCIA. - Experience working in a 24x7 network or data center environment. - Knowledge of cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP) or SD-WAN technologies. - Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation tasks. - Experience with ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, and Change Management).
