Job Summary: The System Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting the organizations IT infrastructure. This includes servers, networks, storage systems, and cloud platforms. The ideal candidate will ensure system reliability, security, and performance to support business operations and growth. Key Responsibilities: - Design, deploy, and manage Windows/Linux servers and virtualization environments (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V). - Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure maximum uptime and efficiency. - Configure and maintain network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, firewalls, VPNs, load balancers). - Implement and manage cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud). - Perform system upgrades, patch management, and regular maintenance. - Develop and maintain documentation for systems, configurations, and processes. - Ensure security compliance by implementing and monitoring security best practices. - Collaborate with software, network, and security teams to support business applications. - Manage backups, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans. - Provide technical support and training to end users as needed. Qualifications and Skills: - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). - 3+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer, IT Administrator, or similar role. - Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows Server, Linux, macOS). - Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, KVM). - Familiarity with networking protocols and hardware (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, switches, routers, firewalls). - Experience with scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python). - Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and DevOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD). - Understanding of cybersecurity practices and compliance standards. - Robust problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
