About the role
Role Overview As the Product Lead or Tech Lead (AI & Infrastructure) at TIMBLE, you will serve as the architectural backbone of the company's AI engine. Your role will entail leveraging a strong backend and systems mindset to develop high-accuracy fraud detection models while ensuring the scalability of the infrastructure required to support them effectively. Key Responsibilities - Engineering Leadership: Lead the development of core AI products such as Bank Statement Analyzers, Face Match technology, and Electronic Residence Physical Verification (ERPV). - AI/ML Architecture: Design and implement AI/ML-driven systems for document intelligence, fraud detection, and automation to enhance real-time intelligence. - Delivery Ownership: Take end-to-end ownership of features and ensure timely delivery in high-stakes production environments. - System Design & Scalability: Design and optimize high-throughput, low-latency API systems capable of handling real-world production loads across multiple high-quality APIs. - Hands-on Contribution: Stay hands-on with code when necessary, particularly for critical modules, core architecture decisions, and troubleshooting. - Practical AI Application: Integrate and scale AI/ML components in production to solve real-world business problems effectively. - Technical Strategy & InfoSec: Oversee Information Security protocols to safeguard proprietary financial data. Lead IP-related technical work, including patent-pending research for authentication engines. - Mentorship: Serve as the technical North Star for SDE-1 and SDE-2 engineers, fostering a culture of clean code, scalability, and cloud economics. What Were Looking For - Technical Expertise: Possess strong backend engineering skills (Python or similar) and experience in building scalable systems. Knowledge of ML frameworks like TensorFlow/PyTorch is advantageous. - Domain Knowledge: Prior experience in Fintech, Cybersecurity, or BFSI tech stacks is highly desirable. - Infrastructure Skills: Solid background in cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure) and maintaining high availability. - Vision: Demonstrate the ability to translate complex fraud patterns into automated, executable code and a dedication to "efficiency by design."
