Software Engineer [UI development]

Your roles and responsibilities Develop web applications (front end) according to design components and information architecture

Integrate front-end application with the application business layer

Follow best practices and standards for accessibility and cross-browser compatibility

Collect feedback from designers and technical staff on website development needs

Individually and as a team, adhere to established coding standards and procedures

Add to the engineering team’s culture of high code quality

Engage in requirement specification process for new software functionality

Design and build UIs on any server platform

Guide and maintain developer teams and best practices

Job requirements 2 - 6 years of experience in UI design and development

Hands-on experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery (optional: React and Angular)

A good portfolio of UI design skills

Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator or other visual design and wire-framing tools

• The ability to conduct usability testing to resolve interface problems

• The ability to coordinate with Interface Design Architects to meet accessibility standards

• The ability to execute accessibility and progressive enhancement presentation

• The ability to ensure design consistency with the client’s development standards and guidelines
