Manager Power Systems Expert

Sr. Engineer / Dy. Manager System Studies At Tractebel, part of the ENGIE Group, we engineer solutions that shape the energy transition. We are looking for a passionate engineer to join our Energy team in India and contribute to building resilient, sustainable power systems. This role puts you at the heart of critical infrastructure planning. You will apply advanced analytical skills to solve real-world challenges in power transmission, distribution, and renewable integration. Your work will directly support cleaner, more reliable energy for millions of people. What You'll Do - Perform power system analysis including load flow, short circuit, transient stability, voltage stability, and insulation coordination studies. - Conduct electromagnetic transient studies covering TOV, SFO, FFO, and VFTO scenarios. - Deliver relay coordination, harmonic analysis, flicker assessment, and arc flash studies for diverse project requirements. - Lead transmission system master planning involving SVC, STATCOM, HVDC, frequency stability, UFLS, and small signal stability analysis. - Support distribution system planning with integration of solar PV, electric vehicles, battery storage, and automation solutions. - Develop load forecasting models and energy mix studies with LCOE calculations. - Contribute to innovative product development using artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data analytics. What You Bring - B.E. or B.Tech in Electrical Engineering; M.E., M.Tech, MS, or PhD in Power Systems is an added advantage. - 3 to 10 years of experience in power system studies on large-scale national or international projects. - Strong hands-on proficiency with PSS/E, PSCAD, ETAP, Advanced Excel, and PowerPoint. - Experience with DigSilent PowerFactory, MATLAB, Simulink, PV Syst, Homer, CYMDIST, or PLEXOS is a plus. - Python scripting and automation experience for power system tools is highly valued. - Familiarity with AI, machine learning, IoT, or data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or R is beneficial. - Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary, multicultural project teams.
