About the role
As a Consultant, Data Science & Analytics at TransUnion, you will be a key member of projects involving descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analysis within the consumer lending portfolio lifecycle. Your role will require leveraging various techniques like segmentation, logistic regression, etc. Key Responsibilities: - Participate in projects with data scientists & solutions consultants on analytic client engagements. - Deliver analytic insights and recommendations in succinct presentations for both internal and external customers. - Design and write programs for data extraction, segmentation, and statistical analysis on large datasets using languages such as R, SAS, and Spark. - Foster a high performance culture and promote excellence reflecting the TransUnion brand. Qualifications Required: - Bachelors degree in mathematics, statistics, applied mathematics, financial mathematics, engineering, operations research, or a related quantitative field with a consistent track record of academic excellence. - Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in analytic work in industries like financial services, insurance, and digital marketing. - Experience in client-facing roles for at least one year. - Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. - Advanced programming skills, proficiency in statistical languages like R or SAS, and familiarity with Microsoft Office tools. - Versatile interpersonal and communication style with the ability to communicate effectively at various levels within and outside the organization, and the capability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
