About the role
Roles and Responsibilities Job Role: Consultant – Server Operations (O365 Administration and Patch Management) Experience: Minimum 3-5 Years
- Strong verbal, written, presentation skills.
- Good knowledge of windows/non windows operating systems components like (Windows/Linux/MAC), client/server, Networking, and Internet fundamentals.
- Hands on experience in any centralized patch management solution deployed in large environment (i.e., WSUS, SCCM, ManageEngine Desktop Central or Any Other Patch Management Solution etc.).
- Sound knowledge of Security updates and Vulnerabilities of windows and non-windows operating systems.
- Basic knowledge on various cloud platform like Azure/AWS/GCP etc.
- Sound Knowledge on Various Vulnerability Management Tools like Qualys, ManageEngine etc.
- Basic knowledge on Scripting and Automation.
- Perform Patch management tasks include deciding what patches are appropriate for systems, ensuring that patches are installed properly, testing systems after installation, and documenting all associated procedures.
- Administer, operate, and maintain patch management environment which is a mix of windows and non-windows operating systems.
- Test and release of patches and software’s in a global environment by adhering to change management process.
- Tracking, reporting and remediate the failed/non-compliant systems of deployments.
- Automating the OS provisioning, tools deployment, monitoring and metrics and other tasks for day-to-day operations through the endpoint management tool.
- Responsible for ensuring all systems receive the latest software updates through the endpoint management tool.
- Ability to resolve complex technical issues related to Software distribution and Patch management.
- Generate compliance reports and consistently maintain a high level of compliance for the endpoints and servers.
- Adherence to SLA, policies, processes, and procedures within the areas of his responsibility.
- Stay up to date on cybersecurity trends, threats, research security enhancements and make recommendations to management. Key Competencies
- Server Administration ( Preferred : Office 365 Administration and Basic Azure AD knowledge, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, RADIUS, Certificate Authority and etc)
- Patch management ( Preferred: ManageEngine or SCCM or WSUS)
- Encryption (Checkpoint Encryption or BitLocker)
- Email Security Gateway (Microsoft or Barracuda or Symantec or others)
- Endpoint Privileged Management or Privileged Access Management (CyberArk, Beyond Trust or equivalent)
- Device management – ( Preferred: JamF for Mac, Intune for Windows and Jump cloud for Linux)
- Backup Tools – ( Preferred: Commvault or Azure Backup or equivalent)
- Basic Knowledge on Identity Security Platform like Silverfort, and IGA tool (Identity, Governance and Administration) like SailPoint, Saviynt or equivalent.
- LLM platforms (Preferred: Gemini, Claude, Cursor, Copilot etc.)
