Group Company: TVS Motor Company Position description: Provide leadership and guidance around Manufacturing feasibility from initial concept development through to factory launch, in the area of General Assembly process Job Title / Role: General Assembly Engineer Department: Body Engineering - EB2 Position reports to: Technology Group Leader Location: Hosur Required Experience: 10 years' relevant experience including positions of responsibility Role Description Manage excellence in the General Assembly team Deliver feasibility support to ensure design meets manufacturing processes from a part to vehicle level through the various stages Take responsibility to mentor, train and develop the AMEC team Awareness of market trends and developments in order to influence and manage the future development of the team Providing appropriate support and guidance to engineering teams Work with other departments and functions as required Coordinate digital build for General assembly Internal and External Interactions Internal - Engineering Team, QAD, CP, Manufacturing External - Linebuilder, equipment suppliers Key Skills Knowledge of mixed material structures Steel, Aluminium Knowledge of Body assembly method (RSW, SPRs, FDSs, CMT Welding, Mono-Bolts, Adhesives etc) Knowledge of assembly processes applicable to low and to high volume manufacture Knowledge of GD&T Knowledge of Catia V5 Disclaimer: This job posting has been aggregated from external source.
