Group Company: TVS Motor Office Location: Hosur Purpose of the role We are seeking an experienced Engineering Leader to drive modular product architecture and platform engineering strategy across EV, CNG, and ICE vehicle programs. The role will focus on platform standardization, cost optimization, and scalable product development to support future mobility needs. Role Description Develop business strategy and long-term growth plans and Conduct market, competitor, and business analysis. Develop and implement modular platform architecture strategies to enable scalable, multi-variant, and multi-market product development. Drive component commonality, standardization, and platform reuse initiatives to improve development efficiency and reduce complexity. Lead project portfolio planning and governance from concept to SOP, ensuring alignment with cost, quality, and delivery (QCD) targets. Define module interfaces, engineering standards, and design guidelines to ensure consistency across vehicle platforms. Lead Value Analysis and Value Engineering (VAVE) initiatives, including BOM optimization, lifecycle cost reduction, and make-versus-buy decisions. Collaborate with RD, Purchase, Manufacturing, Quality, Marketing, and Program Management teams to ensure successful product execution. Conduct competitor benchmarking, technology scouting, and market analysis to identify opportunities for innovation and future platform development. Establish engineering performance metrics, dashboards, and governance mechanisms to monitor platform reuse, cost, quality, delivery, and productivity. Identify technical and strategic risks, drive mitigation actions, and lead continuous improvement initiatives through Lean Engineering, TOC, and digital engineering practices.
