As a Windows Endpoint Engineer, you will be responsible for analyzing business requirements, performing options analysis, ensuring quality/alignment of designs, and you will demonstrate and apply knowledge of enterprise endpoint architecture and standards. You will also be responsible for the development, communication and implementation of the organization's technology endpoints and the components required to support endpoints. You will investigate systemic issues that negatively affect the end user experience, and implement solutions that increase productivity and lower the total cost of ownership of the end user computing environment. Primary Responsibilities: Desktop Management: Oversee the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of Windows desktop environmentsTroubleshooting: Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis to resolve desktop-related issues efficientlyDEX Expertise: Utilize your deep understanding of Desktop Experience (DEX) to enhance user productivity and satisfactionUser Support: Provide expert-level support to end-users, addressing their technical concerns and training them on best practicesSystem Upgrades: Plan and execute system upgrades, patches, and updates to ensure optimal performance and securityAutomation: Develop and implement automation scripts to streamline desktop management tasksDocumentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of desktop configurations, processes, and proceduresCollaboration: Work closely with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration and support of desktop systemsComply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so.Builder Responsibilities: Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered solutions using no-code, low-code, and advanced platforms, translating business needs into scalable applications that enhance products, workflows, and decision-making. Required Qualifications: 7+ years of experience in Windows desktop engineering or a related fieldProficiency in administration and troubleshooting Windows OS (Registry, Drivers, BIOS, BSOD, etc), Chrome OS Administration and Management, Experience utilizing Endpoint Management tools for managing domain and Entra Windows devices. Experience creating and deploying Windows Images. Solid understanding of Endpoint Policy ManagementAutomation: Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell for automationDEX Knowledge: Solid background in Desktop Experience (DEX) tools to measure endpoint performance, correlate issues with changes, and user experience optimization. Knowledge of operating system level loggingAnalytical Skills: Proven excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis and resolutionCommunication: Proven solid verbal and written communication skills Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a Microsoft centric environment (O365, M365)Experience with DEX tools Lakeside SysTrack or NexthinkExperience with Management tools Workspace One, Intune, Ivanti, etc.Experience with investigation tools ProcMon, PerfMon, RAMmap, etc.Experience working in a large endpoint environment over 30kExperience working in a highly regulated industry i.e. Insurance, Healthcare, Banking At UnitedHealth Group, our mission is to help people live healthier lives and make the health system work better for everyone.
