We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer with strong BI development experience to design, build, and maintain analyticsready data pipelines and datasets that power enterprise reporting, dashboards, and AI use cases. This role is data engineering-led, with direct ownership of how data is modeled, transformed, and curated for business intelligence and AI consumption. The ideal candidate understands that great BI and AI outcomes start with strong data foundations and has experience enabling analytics platforms-particularly Salesforce CRM Analytics and Einstein-through welldesigned, governed data layers. Ability to work until 12 PM Central Time (US) Primary Responsibilities: Technology Stack: Snowflake, Salesforce, Salesforce Data Cloud, CRM Analytics (CRMA), EinsteinData Engineering & Analytics EnablementDesign, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines feeding analytics and AI use casesDevelop and manage analyticsready datasets in Snowflake and/or Salesforce Data CloudApply strong data modeling practices to support BI, dashboards, and predictive analyticsEnsure data quality, reliability, and performance across analytics workloadsMedallion Architecture & Data Maturity (Core Requirement)Design and operate within a medallion architecture (Bronze / Silver / Gold)Build and curate Goldlayer datasets optimized for BI and AI consumptionPartner with BI developers and stakeholders to ensure:Business logic is implemented upstreamDashboards remain performant, consistent, and reusableAssess data readiness and maturity before advancing analytics or AI use casesBI & Analytics Platform SupportEnable CRM Analytics (CRMA) dashboards by delivering trusted, wellstructured datasetsPartner with BI developers and analysts to:Translate reporting requirements into data modelsOptimize datasets for performance and reuseSupport metric standardization and semantic consistency across reporting solutionsAI & Einstein EnablementPrepare and curate datasets used by Salesforce Einstein (e.g., predictions, discovery models)Support feature engineering and data readiness for AI use casesCollaborate with analytics and governance teams to ensure AI inputs are explainable and reliable Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do soRequired Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience6+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Analytics EngineeringSolid experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms Advanced SQL skills (complex transformations, performance optimization)Experience building analyticsready data models for BI toolsExperience supporting BI and analytics platforms (CRMA, Tableau, Power BI, etc.)Experience with Salesforce Data Cloud and data integration patternsExperience supporting Einstein or AIdriven analytics use casesPython experience for data pipelines, automation, or advanced transformationsHealthcare or regulated data environment experienceSolid understanding of medallion data architecture and data maturity conceptsProven exposure to Salesforce CRM Analytics (CRMA) datasets or enablement At UnitedHealth Group, our mission is to help people live healthier lives and make the health system work better for everyone.
