As a part of the Optum global organization, you will play a crucial role in improving health outcomes by leveraging emerging technologies and industry trends. Your primary responsibilities will involve: - Staying updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to incorporate them into operations - Taking responsibility for large and complex components, influencing overall Data architecture and patterns - Influencing team designs and solutions while mentoring software engineers through code reviews and design sessions - Providing collaborative guidance and receiving feedback to enhance future deliverables - Designing thoughtful solutions for API's, Data Structures, Data Models, Algorithms, and Application Sequences - Leveraging existing solutions and adapting them for reuse - Delivering integrated, testable, maintainable, and performant solutions with the appropriate toolset - Driving down tech debt through refactor opportunities and incorporating automation in testing, build, and deployment processes - Working with internal stakeholders to align priorities and synthesize them into a quarterly roadmap for the platform - Ensuring compliance with employment contract terms, company policies, and procedures In terms of qualifications, you are required to have: - Bachelor's degree in Computer science or related field - 8+ years of experience in software development with a focus on .Net And/Or Java, Angular/React, Python - AI/ML exp., and automation - Proficiency in technologies such as C#, .Net Core And/Or Java, Rest API, Angular/React, Databricks, Python for AI/ML, and automation - Solid experience in development using C#, .Net Core Web API and/Or Java, Angular, and/or React - Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and DevOps best practices in a cloud-native environment - Understanding of product management principles, agile software development practices, and healthcare knowledge Additionally, the company, UnitedHealth Group, is committed to helping people live healthier lives and addressing health disparities to improve health outcomes for all individuals.
