Primary Responsibilities: - Stay updated on emerging technologies/industry trends and integrate them into operations and activities - Work on large and complex components, influencing overall data architecture and patterns - Influence team designs and solutions, mentor software engineers through code reviews and design sessions - Contribute meaningfully to code reviews, providing collaborative guidance and explanations for implementation decisions - Solve complex problems by designing thoughtful API's, data structures, data models, algorithms, and application sequences - Deliver well-integrated, testable, maintainable, and performant solutions using appropriate tools and frameworks - Drive down technical debt by choosing refactor opportunities in alignment with sprint and program goals - Incorporate automation in testing, build, and deployment processes to improve team efficiencies - Collaborate with internal stakeholders to prioritize and synthesize into a quarterly roadmap for the platform Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any directives related to changes in work locations, teams, shifts, work benefits, environment, or other business-related decisions. Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field - 8+ years of experience in software development - 6+ years of experience delivering solutions focusing on .Net, React, Python (AI/ML exp.), and automation - Solid experience in C#, .Net Core Web API, React, SQL/NoSQL databases, and DevOps best practices - Good knowledge of Entity Framework Core, healthcare systems, agile software development practices, and product management principles - Understanding of building software platforms and technologies such as C#, .Net Core/Java, Rest API, Angular/React, Databricks, Python for AI/ML and automation, Azure Public Cloud, and Git At UnitedHealth Group, the mission is to help people live healthier lives and improve the health system for all.
